My name is Klara Bradshaw and I attended Southern Methodist University located in Dallas, Texas. I pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with a minor in Psychology and also a Masters Degree in Sport Management. I am currently a writer for The Ball Out, specializing in women’s basketball coverage.
I also was a women’s basketball player for Southern Methodist University, dedicating most of my time to practices, games, and training during my college experience.
After college, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a professional basketball player and competed in the first division of the German league for my first year playing overseas. I am now in my second season, playing in the Belgium league.
I can shoot video on an HD Sony NX5U camera and use a Nikon DSLR camera. I have been trained to edit with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop. I have been educated in AP Style writing and have experience writing with quick turnarounds. Since I began at SwishAppeal, I have traveled to cover the Dallas Wings, the NCAA Women’s Elite Eight and Final Four, and also the 2016 Women’s Basketball Olympic team all with 30-minute turnaround times. My experience continued to grow after joining the Ball Out team, becoming head editor of the women’s basketball page. Therefore I not only covered live events but also was in charge of content production and chose what became published and what did not.
I spent two years at Texas Christian University before transferring to Dallas to Southern Methodist University.
